NJGOP Chairman Steinhardt Grateful For NJ Republican Delegation, Calls On Menendez and Booker To Reject Partisan Extremism and Avoid Federal Shut Down

Trenton, NJ: Following the House of Representatives the passage of a continuing resolution to fund the government through February 16th, NJGOP Chairman Steinhardt issued the following statement:

“The Republican congressional delegation from New Jersey made our State proud today with their votes for the passage of legislation to keep the government open, fund the military, and fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) for six years,” said Chairman Steinhardt. “Now we need our two US Senators, Menendez and Booker, to reject the radical partisanship that seems to have taken over their caucus. For the sake and safety of the troops we send oversees and the health and welfare of the millions of children effected by CHIP, we need Menendez and Booker to stop a government shutdown. If their fellow Democrat, Josh Gottheimer can support this resolution, then I see no reason for them not to come to the table and get this done.”
