NJGOP Chairman Calls On Murphy To End Frivolous Lawsuits Against Trump Admin

Trenton, NJ – After the Trump administration moved to block state efforts to work around a new limit on state and local tax deductions, Governor Murphy has said he is weighing legal actions. NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt releases the following statement:

“Governor Murphy’s tax scheme is a fake solution. After adopting a $36.5 billion budget with more holes than the State has fingers to fill them, Murphy must stop wasting taxpayer money on frivolous lawsuits engineered to garner national headlines by pitting himself against President Trump, and start solving our statewide problems, instead. New Jersey’s tax problems were created in Trenton, not Washington, and Trenton is the only place they can be fixed. The NJGOP is launching a petition calling on Governor Murphy to fix NJ first and stop the baseless lawsuits.”
