Trenton, NJ – Following the only debate between Bob Hugin and Bob Menendez on NJTV tonight, NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt released the following statement:

“Bob Hugin showed the people of New Jersey why he deserves to be our next United States Senator. He spoke clearly on the issues and represented himself as a man with integrity, a deep knowledge of the issues and compassion. He has a record as a independent leader and a job creator.

“This race isn’t a trial it’s a job interview. If we’re reviewing Senator Menendez’s performance over the past twenty plus years in Washington, I think it’s clear New Jersey must move on. He’s embarrassed us with his corruption and ethical blunders and left New Jersey dead last in what we bring back from Washington.”
