.
Trenton, NJ – This past Memorial Day, Archie Fagan was honored at an event held at Flemington Jewish Community Center. He was the recipient of proclamations issued by the county Freeholders and the Township Committee.
.
Archie fought in the Battle of the Bulge, helped liberate the Dachau concentration camp and was called to duty as a military observer during the 1946 Nuremberg trials.

.
Congressman Malinowski spoke briefly at the event. But fell asleep during part of the ceremony.
.
NJGOP Executive Director Theresa Winegar issues the following statement:
.
“Archie Fagan in a WWII veteran, hero and staple of the community in Hunterdon County. He talked about still having nightmares about liberating Dachau. We wish our Congressman, Tom Malinowski, would have had the respect to stay awake for the ceremony honoring Archie.”
.
Hunterdon County Freeholder Susan Soloway was present at the event said, “I was disappointed to see our Congressman asleep during the presentation.”
