New Jersey Needs Transparency From Murphy On COVID Spike Plan
.
Cases of COVID-19 in New Jersey are spiking. From this time last month hospitalizations are up 74%, ICU patients are up 97%, and the 1,301 new cases on Friday 10/9 were the most in five months. Governor Murphy has announced no new initiatives, no new processes or procedures, and no change in tactics to deal with this major spike.
.
Chairman Steinhardt issued the following statement regarding this concerning surge in the virus:
.
“COVID hit New Jersey hard the first time around and Governor Murphy’s policies were so bad that they are under DOJ investigation. Many New Jersey families have a loved one in a nursing home or long term care facility. As COVID spikes again, we need transparency from the Murphy Administration and a plan that proves he won’t be sentencing our senior population to certain infection.”
