Steinhardt to New Jersey: Don’t Let Murphy BS You On New Tax Hikes

In a report earlier today, Governor Phil Murphy hinted at tax increases for next fiscal year, saying the state will need “revenue raisers” to balance the budget and recover from the pandemic.

In response to this news, NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt released the following message:

“Governor Murphy is a multi-millionaire from Massachusetts and it’s clear he has a hard time speaking the language of New Jersey‘s hard working families. But, I can help. When Phil Murphy says ‘revenue raisers’ that’s con-man for ‘tax hikes’.

“Let’s be clear. The last thing New Jersey needs is more taxes.”
