Steinhardt: Yesterday Sums Up Murphy

.
Governor Murphy signed a first-in-the nation bill yesterday releasing 20% of New Jersey’s prison inmate population one day after Election Day.

.
Meanwhile, legislation to compensate correctional facility officers for work during pandemic emergencies hasn’t been posted for a hearing in committee.
.
Murphy also vetoed legislation to give $30 million in aid to the restaurant community battered by his executive orders.
.
“Governor Murphy’s actions yesterday were symbolic of his tenure as a whole,” said NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt. “Somehow, he decided it was a good idea to release thousands of convicted criminals into our streets, but a bad idea to lend aid to struggling businesses and workers. His priorities are radically liberal and his contempt for New Jersey’s working families is criminal. New Jersey cannot afford four more years of Phil Murphy.”
