Ravi Dattatreya

Dr. Ravi E. Dattatreya is a thought leader in both finance and technology. He is an authority on fixed income portfolio management and has published almost a dozen books, some of which are taught in universities. With a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Doctorate in Operations Research from the University of California at Berkeley, his career has interwoven technology (Bell Labs, Intel) and high finance (Goldman Sachs, Sumitomo Bank). As a driven entrepreneur, he built a fiber optics company from the ground up during the Dotcom era and a successful arbitrage platform a few years later.

As the recipient of many National Merit Scholarships and the winner of the National Science Talent Scholarship, Dr. Dattatreya is passionate in supporting education for the underprivileged. He has served on the Board of Overseers at NJIT, is a benefactor for the girls school Shantala Education Society in India, and has established a scholarship for students of Indian origin at Berkeley.

Within public service, Dr. Dattatreya is involved with the NJ Business Roundtable, the NJ GOP, and now serves on the New Jersey India Commission.
